Burger me at Meat Mission - Hoxton

Part of a three pronged attack on London, these buns of glory wish to cut deep into the recesses of our minds! But can Meat Mission convert us enough to invoke the "Hungry Eyes?"

Let's level with you, this place gets packed on Thursday and Fridays around dinner time so if you’re a hungry hippo who hates waiting, bash your way past the plebs like the animal you are to claim sanctuary! For once you enter this place you'll see the walls and deco have a dark catholic theme to them.

We took our places near the back, perused the menu, styled like a church pamphlet, licked our lips and ordered zee burger. Now this wasn't pacman chomp's first time at this institute dedicated to gluttony so prepare yourself for some images.

Chilli Dog £8.50
Buffalo Chicken Burger £8.00
The Dead Hippie £8.50
Verdict
So what do your hungry eyes tell you? The buns be slightly toasted but don't expect them to actually hold their own; disintegration in your hands is highly possible if you get a beastly burger. The beef patty is nothing really exciting, nothing that will rouse yee loins but its better than your standard McDs obviously. The patty has a seared shell and as you take that first hippo bite you'll find it still juicy and slightly pink inside, even staying together even after your relentless attacks.

The hotdog tastes nice and flavoursome but for its price you do feel cheated, so if I was you stay away or you'll be rubbing that stomach while hunting for the nearest chicken shop. Now lastly the chicken, the meat itself is …. Acceptable, not too dry that it's like chewing a shoe but not tender enough to make you drool.

The sauce and toppings on all of these are what make the burger and the fries we got (not included with the buns) are so so, they're nothing special so just get the one to share between yourselves.

 6/10

Would I go again?
I'd go again but not every week, maybe monthly if I'm nearby, definitely a place for a casual meal with friends or non-fussy girls as this is gonna get messy people and unless you like to feel like a kid at playschool, napkin up!
Now as for the burger rating…. not the best burger around but worthy of a chomp, I've definitely had better in quality and price so alas the hunt for the most succulent and worthy burger continues.
