Now before we begin, I must admit I was here back in April and it was sunny as hell then so we decided to indulge ourselves with a pop over to Apt Bar for a gin and tonic.
After finding our inner peace again we realized we actually came out to grab some lunch! And with the Apt Lunch Menu severely lacking anything eye catching we headed to Tsuru.
Salmon, Prawn and Asparagus Box - £6.90 |
Cod Katsu £5.50 (Asahi Black £3.50 ;J) |
Verdict
The Cod Katsu was nice, didn't taste like your typical cod from fish and chips as it was more fluffy and the curry sauce was pretty standard, nice levels of sweet and curry taste oh and the batter is tempura. They also have other Katsus such as chicken, pork, beef and steak I think (remember I was partially being fueled by G&T at the time, la ala la)
The Salmon, Prawn and Asparagus Bento Box, although expensive was really nice, gets you full but not too much that you have to penguin walk back to your desk like with the Katsu nor do you find yourself fighting off the post lunch snooze. The salmon tastes fresh and the prawns although cold, have a slight sweet taste and merged with the tangy sauce provided is a god send. I could've just had a box of prawns with that sauce and been content!
7/10
Would I go again?
Its got a yes by me.
Not everyday of course as i'd lose me party funds but definitely as treat to break the rhythm or even as a lunch date, deco inside is nice, clean and gloss black with wooden / leather furniture and the food is fancy enough to make an impression.
